Application

mining cable applications require additional mechanical protection (with its layer of pliable galvanised steel wire armour can provide this). Predominantly used as an armoured feeder cable solution in opencast applications, it can also be used as the feeder cable to machinery such as transportable mining substations in sand mining.

As with all mining cables, a robust cable designed with the rigours of the mine environment in mind - Ethylene Propylene Rubber insulation and heavy-duty, oil resistant Polychloroprene sheathing. The cable is provided as a 3-core construction with a central pilot core laid up on a cradle separator. The overall tinned copper braid screen acts as the earth conductor in this configuration.
